Its never the end

A little late, but on time. This is the last blog.

I must admit that the first time I didn´t see much fun to blogs, but Benji chose good topics. Especially that of favorite movies. I never had the opportunity to write about them, although there are others that I didn´t include.

I think I have improved my ability to write, although thinking now would have much more productive to put more dedication. It was a good decision on the part of the teachers to carry out this type of activity, a seven for them.

I said that the topics were a success, but adding in the future free themes could help a lot to motivate the students (although the oral presentation was a free topic, thanks for that).

Personally I didn´t like that it was almost all classes, but it is due to my absences jaja. Constancy helps a lot to not lose the practice. Critical, but only irresponsible.

If in a very bad case I fail this class, I will write blogs next year, so I still don´t say goodbye to them. I sincerely hope that doesn´t happen, but not for blogs, I clarify.

Keep like me the name of my general blog, bye!

Is there something I enjoy studying? The answer will surprise you

A normal journalism student may believe that my favorite subject is Radio or Advanced Reporting, because the other three are boring in my opinion.

Fortunately this university has the famous CFG. I do not know who was the genius who said that sports could be a CFG. But I love him. For the second consecutive semester I was able to take the basketball course. Why two semesters? Because I can.

Going for the second consecutive semester has advantages. I already knew the teacher, so he forgave me the absences and in the end he gave me a good grade. A crack the teacher.

In class the teacher usually gave some exercises (even physical). It explained things and in the end we played around half an hour. The contents are all the basic aspects of sport. Launch, rebounds, passes, etc.

But, if I think about the two semesters together, I can say that what I liked the most was meeting students from different careers with different lifestyles.

I also liked seeing the progress many had regarding the level of play. Many students arrived knowing only the basics, but at the end of the semester they prove to know a lot

Basketball is also studied, just as its players are studied.

The best NBA commentators in Spanish

Two times in a day? Why not?

Álvaro "NBA" Martín y Carlos "Coach" Morales are two ESPN analysts and narrators in their signal for Latin America. They are a duo that any basketball fan who sees ESPN should know. A duo that I hope never separates. They are the best.

They cover more than just one sport, but I only watch the NBA, so my opinion is only based on those broadcasts.

Each one has a job, they complement each other. Coach Morales was a great basketball coach in his native country, Puerto Rico. It usually gives comments about players, teams, franchises. His contribution from the knowledge of the game in the matches is wonderful. The people who are looking for us to learn while we enjoy, listening to him speaking at games, are the best things that could happen to us. Analyst and narrator, what else can you ask for?

Seizing the opportunity, I would like to discard that he is currently in Chile doing a clinic for coaches. A great opportunity for the development of basketball in our country.

Martín  has the most "passionate" work, he relates and recounts. Who will not have been excited by his stories in important matches. It is evident that he enjoys what he does, that he loves the sport in which he works. He is one of the people that I would like to reach someday. I must meet him in person, that may be one of my dreams. It is truly great. Unfortunately it was the one who shouted "TAPA DE GINOBILI" and José Ojeda bothered me with that several days.

In short, they are an amazing pair.

Legendary Films

I'm back! And this time I bring my three favorite movies, even with predictions.

The first on the list is "Coach Carter". It is about student basketball in the United States, but it also seeks to teach that sport and work ethic are tools of salvation. In the movie, many of the students may not have finished their studies. Maybe end up in jail, maybe end up dead. Coach Carter worked hard to get all of his players to finish school with good grades and to be able to enter college. There were many setbacks on the part of the players, but in the end everyone could have a better future. A story based on real events that motivated me too much at the time. Never give up. Carter is the best.

The second one is "Saving private Ryan". This movie I liked for the war. Normally I do not see this type of film and I saw it by chance many years ago. It also has teachings. A squad goes in search of a soldier to take it home. His two brothers already died in the war camp and did not want the mother to suffer the loss of the third. Fallen friends, a long way. Once they find Ryan, he does not want to go back. He wants to continue fighting for his country. He would not leave his companions alone. Almost everyone dies, but Ryan survives. Mission accomplished boys. Captain John Miller is my hero.

The third movie has not come out yet. "Dragon Ball Super: Broly". It opens at the end of the year. Because it's my favorite movie? BECAUSE THE ANTAGONIST WILL BE BROLY. The best character in all the films of the franchise. Finally he will return in glory and majesty. I'm too hype. I'm sure it will be the best Dragon Ball movie in history.

Bread... and roses? Curious title

Hi!

"Bread and Roses: is the movie about which i will comment today. If you have not seen it, i recommend seeing it.

In general the movie i liked, although it's not my style. The movie has comic scenes are that to my liking. In addition, the discussions that are witnessed serve the viewer to reflect on issues that may be very commonplace. The movie leaves us a teaching.

I don't know the name of my favorite character. But, i know perfecly how to describe it. He appeared before the policemen as: "My name is Pancho Villa junior". That was too funny.

One thing that liked about the movie is the relevance that they give to group discussions. This aspect gives naturalness to the film since it does not omit something normal in groups of people.

Something i didn't like, but it's for personal taste, it was music. The rancheras aren't to my liking.

To finish, my favorite escene is when the sister tells Maya truth of her life. Explains a hidden, but important aspect of society.
Bye!

I will be a basketball narrator, why?

Hi again! Today i will tell you why i chose to study journalism.

When i was a boy i wanted to be a teacher. That was my dream. In the high school i changed my mind. At that time i wanted to study law. During the week in which i had to choose what to study i began to reflect. "I like basketball, if i am a lawyer i should leave it. Oh, but if i study journalism i can live forever surrounded by this sport. I want to be a basketball narrator".

So far, my experiencie in the university has been quite nice, but there are specific situations that have bothered me. I prefer not to say them to avoid problems. I am still waiting for some classes of superiors years that attract me too much.

My short goal is to work in channel CDO. More to the future, get to work in the transmissions of ESPN for Latin América. I am sure i will achieve it.

See you!

My autobiography by Bastián Ortiz

Hi everyone. Welcome to my blog. In my first post I will present my autobiography.

My name is Bastián Ortiz and i am from Santiago, Chile. I was born on 04/05/1999. I am 18 years old. I am the youngest of five brothers. My parents, Camilo and Berta, aren`t from Santiago, but they met there. It`s a special city for this reason. I live all my life in Santiago. Rarelly i go to the holidays outside of the city.

I studied in the elementary school Oscar Bonilla near my house. Later, i studied in the high school Liceo San Pedro. Currently i am studying journalism in the University of Chile. I want to be a narrator of basketball.

My main hobbie is playing basketball, watching basketball, living basketball. It`s a life style. For this reason i decided to study journalism. Other hobbie is to watch series, recently specially Dragon Ball. Son Goku is my god.He is a fucking hero.
